WHAT IS
BRAZILIAN WAX?
Brazilian Wax is Joe Osborne (and, formerly, Henry Weekes) - DJ, writer, selector, curator and promoter dedicated to sharing Brazilian music with the world.
"Beginning on Leeds Student Radio in 2016, our initial radio series took listeners on a whistle-stop tour through the crucial moments within the story of twentieth- and twenty-first-century Brazilian music. We finished our first series with a summer party fit with homemade feijoada and caipirinhas, and ever since we've found ourselves playing out, more and more, at UK-wide parties, bringing Brazil's polychrome party music to grey Britain.
We have hosted parties and played alongside great friends and inspirations such as Mafalda, Trepanado, DJ Tahira, Nubya Garcia, Tim Garcia, Mr. Bongo, Patrick Forge and Emma-Jean Thackray. We have also worked with and produced mixes and articles for Jazz FM, Worldwide FM, Sounds & Colours, Reform Radio, Keakie, dublab Brasil, Música Macondo, Flux, Good Life, Truck Music, Steam Radio and BristoLatino."
Brazilian Wax is based in London and run by Joe.
